The following are different types of child care in British Columbia. To find out the criteria and regulations for each type please click on one of the choices below.

Registered License Not Required
(2 children plus your own. Registered with a Child Care Resource & Referral Program (CCRR) by following standards set out by the Provincial Government)

ATTENTION:  A licence is required for all facilities caring for three or more children

Licensed Family Child Care
(Must be Licensed through Interior Health)

Licensed Centre
(Must be Licensed through Interior Health) 

License Not Required Non Registered
(2 children plus their own.)
In British Columbia you cannot look after more than two children without a License.
Caregivers who are providing child care without being registered are not part of our database. Careproviders must meet one of the above criteria to be on our referral database.
